About Master YuChao Sun

Master YuChao Sun was born in Henan, China. He first started practicing martial arts when he was four years old in his hometown. At the age of ten, and because he had such a love of martial arts, his family sent him to the Shaolin Temple to learn Shaolin Kung Fu. There, he spent years learning and training Shaolin Kung Fu, eventually becoming a 34th Generation Shaolin Temple Warrior Monk.

In 2006, Master YuChao participated in a troupe of Shaolin Warriors, which brought him to the United States to perform and compete. These performances and competitions took him all over the United States and Europe, where he was able to share his extensive training with numerous audiences.

Master YuChao came to Houston, Texas in 2006 for performances and began teaching Shaolin Kung Fu in Katy, Texas in 2008. Under his guidance and direction, many of his students have earned 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals at various competitions, including the annual Lone Star Chinese Martial Arts Championships and the Shaolin Temple Cultural Festival & Kung Fu Competition in Los Angeles, California.

Today, his Katy Kung Fu Center thrives as a school of traditional Shaolin teachings, where he continues to share his Shaolin Kung Fu expertise with those who are eager to learn from an authentic 34th Generation Shaolin Temple Warrior Monk.
